The Odessa American, Odessa, Texas, Sunday, February 2, 2014: Odessa--- Norma Lee Kidd, 80, of Odessa passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born August 29, 1933, in Chelsea, OK. She graduated from Forsan High School in 1951, and pursued bookkeeping classes thru correspondence courses. She married Curtie Gean Kidd in May, 1962, in Big Spring. She was a retired bookkeeper and secretary for Dr. Jimmy Braswell and Kingston Ave. Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary for 16 years. She is preceded in death by her parents A.J. and Cora McCall; husband C. G. Kidd; son Michael Dewayne Shaw;and sisters Goldie Tuck and Dorothy Kennedy. She is survived by her daughter Christey Marie Inzer and husband, Bobby of Odessa; sister-in-law Ida Boise Reeves of Bauxite, AR; two grandchildren Shannon Marie Fifer and husband, Donnie of Odessa,; and Sherri Gean Redfern and husband, Kyle of Odessa; four great-grandchildren Michael Lee Watkins, Harley Jo Fifer, Kaden Robert Redfern and Kylie Gean Redfern and several nieces and nephews. She will lie in state at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home on Sunday, February 2, 2014, from 1:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014, at Sherwood Baptist Church with Rev. Ivy Shelton and Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
