The Peoria Journal Star, Peoria, Illinois, Thursday, February 11, 1993: IPAVA -- Kathryn M. Kirkpatrick, 73, of Ipava died at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1993, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born March 30, 1919, in Ipava to William and Margaret Notman Lee, she married Russell E. Kirkpatrick on May 1, 1941, in Bowling Green, Mo. He died Dec. 6, 1977. One son, four brothers, one sister and one grandson also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, William and Ken, both of Bushnell, and Frank of Rushville; four daughters, Judy Davis of Atlanta, Ga., Becky Stambaugh of St. Augustine, Kay Weaver of Table Grove and Mary Frederick of Vermont; two sisters, Annabel McMullen of Macomb and Margaret Herriford of Ipava; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She worked at Saga Foods and Theta Xi fraternity at Western Illinois University in Macomb.
She was a member of Bardolph United Presbyterian Church and Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Ipava Rescue Squad.
