Blandinsville Star Gazette, Blandinsville, Illinois, January 4, 2006: Forrest O. Newcombe, 76, Macomb, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb. He was born July 22, 1929, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Ernest and Eunice (Mueller) Newcombe. He is survived by one daughter, Michelle S. Rossmiller, Macomb; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Newcombe, Justin, Thea, and Quentin Rossmiller; one daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Newcombe, Chicago; and two sisters, Mary Kay Gragg, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Judith Ann Stuart, Kansas City, Kan. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Newcombe; and two grandchildren, Zachary and Margaret Ann Rossmiller. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force at Chanute Air Force Base from 1950-1953. He retired from the Physical Plant at Western Illinois University. He was a member of the Wichita Kansas Albert Pike Lodge #303 AF & AM and also Ipava Order of Eastern Star #226. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Macomb. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Chicago. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, Macomb, is in charge of arrangements.
