David Edmund (Faulk) Jewell was 24 October 1924 at Pomona, Los Angeles County, California. Born a Faulk, he was adopted by Thomas Edmund Jewell. David married Virginia Ruby Snyder on 17 February 1946 in Carlton, Oregon. She is the daughter of Erwin and Mabel Snyder and was born 28 March 1924. They live at Sheridan, Yamhill County, Oregon.

Obituary of David Jewell from the Daily World of Washington State, 4 March 2003: Olympia. Former Hoquiam resident David E. Jewell, 78, of Olympia died of cancer Saturday, March 2, 2003, at Olympia. Mr. Jewell was born Oct. 3, 1924, at Pomona, Calif. He had lived in many places in California and Oregon. He had been a master sergeant in the Army, serving as an intelligence analyst. He later worked as a salesman in the wholesale food industry, retiring in 1988. Though he lived in Olympia for 50 years, Mr. Jewell had done a lot of business on the Harbor. In 1976 he married Ann Knutson. She survives him at the family home. He was a member of Masonic and Elks lodges and the Rhododendron Society. He is also survived by two daughters, Cathy Ceci of La Verne, Calif., and Patti Furu of Tumwater; two step daughters, Carol Smith of Lincoln City, Ore., and Janice Sharp of Olympia; six step brothers, Ralph Faulk of Sheridan, Ore., Carl of Littleton, Colo., Harold of Jacksonville, Fla., Bill of Las Vegas, Nev., Burl Faulk, of Tunas, Mo., and Peter of Port Townsend; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial is set for 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at the New Life Center in Tumwater. Donations in his memoray are suggested to the Children's Hospital Foundation, PO Box 50020, M/S S-200, Seattle, 98145-5020.
