"6th son. Educated at Shrewsbury and Christ Church College, Oxford (B.A., 1854) and was ordained in 1855. He was vicar of Longnor, Salop, 1856-67; of Pontesbury 3rd Portion, Salop, 1867-73; of Condover, Salop, 1873-87; and Rector of Hampton Bishop, Herefordshire, 1887-1905. In addition, he was Chaplain, 1st. V.B., K.S.L.I., 1860-97."
