Enlisted in Confederate States Army 10 8 1863 Lee County, VA. Co. I, 25th VA Cavalry.
Taken Prisoner at Cumberland Gap near his home in 2 4 1864.
Sent to Louisville, KY Military prison and then on feb 11th was sent to Rock Island Barracks, IL. He got either smallpox or measles and died 3/7/1864.
