(Research):In the name of God amen, I Jacob Starr of the County of Lincoln & State of North Carolina do make and ordain & declare this instrument writing to be my last will & testament revoking all others. Whereas I have heretofore made a considerable? davide of my estate to my children to some I give more to others less. I do herewith dispose of what I do this time possess in the following manner viz
1st It is my will and desire that all my debts be punctually? today paid and the legacies hereafter bequeathed are to be discharged as soon as circumstances will permit
2nd I give & bequeath to my son John Starr the whole of the plantation on which I know live. I also give him (John Starr) and my son Jacob Starr in company my dutch fan & crop cut saw in which they are to have equal rights.
3rd all my other property I may possess at my decease I direct to be sold at publick sale, the money deriving therefrom & money due me by note it is my will and I direct it to be divided equal among my three sons, Phillip Starr, Jacob Starr, & John Starr.
4th I likewise constitute make & ordain my friend Michael Rudisill my executor of this my last will & testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand. I seal this 31st day of July 1833.
