Beginning with this family the "t" was dropped from Wentz. Had 14 children - 11 boys & 3 girls - six of whom died young. During the lifetime of this family there were two great epidemics of Dysentary. In Graufenhausen in 1756 - 73 people died & 1773 - 77 peole died. This caused great poverty.
