Cornelius lived in Faha. Apart from the childen listed below, Cornelius may also have had a son named Daniel. I say this because a Daniel Mulvihill, who was originally from Faha and whose father's name was Cornelius, died of "fever" in Coilbee, Listowel, Co. Kerry on 25 August 1877. He was aged 27 and was married to Honora Maher.

Although John does not appear to be related to Cornelius (at least not closely), the information below on his family may be of some use to those researching the Mulvihill families of Ballybunion, Co. Kerry.
