William (Willie) Martin GORDON
(8 Nov 1889 - 29 Aug 1918)
Amember of the 12th Battalion, Tank Corps of the British Army, Willie was killed in World War I. He was initially buried in northern France, close to where he died, but in the early 1920s he and others were reburied in Mory Abbey Military Cemetery in Mory (between Arras and Bapaume, about two kilometres east of the village of Ervillers). His grave number is V.D.29.
