Honora LEAHY

Honora entered the convent, becoming Sr. Agnes Mary. She joined the order of the Daughters of the Cross in Liège, France in October, 1884 and two years later was sent to the Indian subcontinent where she worked in Karachi (Pakistan), Igatpuri, Bandra, Panchgani and Dadar (all in India), before being appointed Superioress at Anand (India) in December 1908. The first week of July of the following year saw an outbreak of cholera in the area and Sr. Agnes Mary fell victim to the disease. She died very shortly afterwards, aged only 44.
