Maggie emigrated to New Zealand. She and her husband lived in Kaikoura. They had no children but helped raise a nephew and niece of Maggie's who had come from Ireland some years after their mother, Bridget, had died and their father had remarried. James was about 16 and Mary about 12 when they arrived in New Zealand.
