Edward (Ted) Joseph BARRETT

Ted, who was also known as Joseph, was educated at the North Monastery in Cork. He later moved to England where he served with the Royal Artillery for 15 years, attaining the rank of Major. He saw service in both world wars and was a recipient of the Military Medal. Ted and his wife, Daisy, later ran The Crown House pub on Parsonage St., Fontmell Magna in Daisy's home county of Dorset.
