Elizabeth (Sr. Ida) WALSH

Sr. Ida was a member of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word order. She served in Galveston in Texas and Salt Lake City in Utah before returning to Ireland in 1969 to work in her order's House of Studies in Dartry in Dublin. Sr. Ida subsequently returned to the United States to work in Texas.
When Sr. Ida visited the family home in Leitrim East in 1969, following her return to Ireland from Salt Lake City, she met her brother Fr. Joe whom she hadn't seen in 34 years due to her being in the States and Joe living in the Far East.
