Individual Details
Annie Rose (Nancy) HICKEY
(14 Jun 1927 - 9 Mar 1996)
It is thought that Annie was called Nancy after her aunt Nance (Dower) who died as a child.
Nancy emigrated to the United States in the early 1950s, living initially with her uncle William Dower in New York City. William and Nancy had never met prior to her arrival in the States and Nancy had to wear a large bow in her hair so that William would recognise her when he met her off the boat.
