Individual Details
Patrick (Paddy Otter) O'CONNOR
(20 Nov 1871 - 9 Nov 1963)
Sponsors at Paddy's baptism were Edmund Cunningham and Honoria Cunningham.
Paddy was known as "Otter" and "Paddy Otter" because he had a passion for fishing. He lived to be 91 and was still cycling until shortly before his death.
It is surprising Paddy did not inherit the family farm in Kilbaha given that he was the eldest son. It was Paddy's next surviving brother, Jack, who got the farm. Jack married just three days before Paddy in March 1916, by which time Paddy was farming in Lisaniskea, Knockanure, Co. Kerry.
