Richard (Kerry) SLOANE

Kerry was from Bishopstown in Cork. He became an officer in the Irish army and served in the Congo and Cyprus. Following his retirement from the army in the 1970s he owned Athlone Cruisers, a river cruiser rental company in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. He was also owner of Athlone restaurant The Jolly Mariner.
