Catherine was matron of a workhouse or hospital (presumably in Fermoy).
Martin and Catherine, who lived in Duntahane, Fermoy, had no children.
They did help raise Catherine's sister's two children, Maureen (known as Bunty) O'Sullivan and her sister (whose name I do not know) after their father died in 1930 in a motor accident when they were children. It is believed Bunty lived with Catherine and Martin in the aftermath of her father's death.
