Note from Helen: As far as I know James's family is not connected to my O'Connor family. However, James's grandson Pat (born about 1833) married my great-great-great-aunt Nance Cunningham. Kevin O'Connor, a great-great-grandson of James's, has done considerable research into his O'Connor family, the results of which he has put together in a book entitled 'The Descendants of the O'Connors of Carrigafoyle Stemming from the Datheenachs Line' [publ. 2006]. Besides the O'Connors, other families covered in Kevin's work include the Brosnans of Shronebeirne, the Byrnes of Coolanelig in Duagh, the Keanes of Ballygrennan in Finuge, and many more.
