Individual Details
Daniel (Donal) HYDE
(Abt 1887 - 31 Jan 1981)
Donal was an agricultural instructor. In 1910 he took up a position in the Elphin-Castlerea area of Co. Roscommon and in 1915 he moved to Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim. It appears he and his wife, Clare, were living in Drumshanbo at the time of the death of Clare's first cousin Lena Flanagan in 1922. It is not known how long they spent in Drumshanbo but by the time of Clare's death in 1972 they were living in Carrigaline, Co. Cork. It is thought they had no children.
Donal's brother Tim (1908-1967) rode Workman to victory in the Grand National of 1939.
