Jeremiah was a primary school teacher and lived in either Bedford or Burntwood, Listowel, Co. Kerry. I am told he remarried after the death in childbirth of his first wife, Nora Ann, and their baby, and that he and his second wife (name unknown) had no children.

Jeremiah is buried in the same grave as his brother Edmond and Edmond's wife, Julia.
