Maurice Joseph MULVIHILL

Maurice's mother died when he was only about three weeks old.
After leaving school Maurice helped run the family farm with his father and brothers before moving to England in 1939 at the age of about 25. After his marriage, he and his wife, Winnie (O'Hara), lived in Barnes in London for several years before moving to New York, where Winnie had siblings. They returned to London in the late 1950s where Maurice and Winnie trained as publicans, eventually running their own pub. In 1980 Maurice and Winnie moved back to Winnie's native county of Sligo, settling in Tourlestrane.
