Samuel Frederick CONNOLLY

(1858 - 28 Aug 1933)

Samuel Frederick and his brother John Joseph set up a shoe repair business in London as young men. The business flourished and eventually evolved into a leather processing company, Connolly Leather. The company went on to provide seat coverings for luxury cars and hotel, concert halls and ocean liners. Samuel's sons carried on the business and family members are still involved.

Samuel and his wife, Josephine, lived with their family at 33 Parkside, Wimbledon.

Samuel's tomb in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Kensal Green is a listed Building of Merit.
