John SHINE

John emigrated to Australia in 1894, the journey from Plymouth in England taking 75 days. Travelling with him were his mother, Catherine, brothers Patrick and Henry, and sisters Bridget, Kathleen, Mary and Margaret. His brother Cornelius also emigrated to Australia.

John eventually settled in Roelands, Western Australia where he bought a farm, which his wife, Jane, named 'Killarney'.
