Benjamin F. SARGENT
(13 Dec 1919 - 26 Feb 2005)
Following studies at the Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos, California, Benjamin was ordained a priest in 1951. He taught at a number of high schools and at the University of San Francisco, and for 20 years was chaplain at Kaiser Permanente and U.S. Fort Miley Veterans Hospitals. He was also involved in assisting AIDS victims and immigrants from El Salvador. Fr. Benjamin spent his retirement in Berkeley, California.
