Individual Details
James TIDMARSH (caution: relationship to John Tidmarsh and Mary Eager not verified)
(Abt 1790 - 10 May 1831)
James, who lived in Ballymullen, Tralee, Co. Kerry, was a cloth merchant. It appears he was a brother of Frank and Alexander Tidmarsh but I have no proof of this. However, from his will we know James did have a brother named Alexander to whom he had lent money to see up a business. This ties in with Frank's brother Alexander having set up a distillery in 1825 and later a brewery.
The Kerry Evening Post of 11 May 1831 tells us James died at his home in Ballyullen after a "lingering illness". He was aged about 40.
