Emma was a matron in Clongowes Wood College, Co. Kildare (we know she was at Clongowes in the 1950s) and later in St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin (in the 1960s and perhaps later) where there is a library named after her. she She never married. She and her sisters, Annie and Eva, shared a home for many years at 102 Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, Dublin.
Emma died of heart failure at St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin aged 72.
