Richard (Dick) BURKE

Born in New York, Dick grew up in Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary. He went on to become a T.D. (member of parliament) representing Fine Gael and was later appointed Minister for Education. He subsequently served as Ireland's EU Commissioner. Dick, his wife, Mary, and their family lived in Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin.
