George HORKAN

George lived at Liscottle House, Swinford, Co. Mayo. He and his wife, Maria, had 13 children that we know of.
George died of asthmatic bronchitis at the age of 68.
Note from Helen: Although I am not directly related to George's family, during the course of my research into the McDonnells of Kilmovee, Co. Mayo (Lizzie Gordon, a grandaunt of my husband, married John McDonnell), I came across information on George's family (George's son Michael married John's sister Josephine) that might be helpful to Horkan researchers, hence its inclusion in my website. Additional inforamtion on the Horkans would be welcome.
