Kieran Patrick (Fr. Damian) LAVIN
(3 May 1892 - 21 Oct 1918)
Kieran was ordained a priest in 1917, taking the name Fr. Damian. He then went to England where he carried out missionary work, but died back home in Ardgallagher less than two years later of complications resulting from diabetes. He was 26 years of age. Just three weeks earlier he had married his brother Charles to Mary Anne McDermott.
