The record of Mortimer's first marriage (in 1868) tell us he was 25 years of age, indicating he was born around 1842. Note that his father's name on the marriage record was Darby, which is a form of Jeremiah.

Mortimer died of cirrhosis of the liver.

A Mary Galvin of Clounmacon married a Michael Leahy in Listowel, Co. Kerry in 1924. Her father's name was Mortimer which suggests she was a daughter of Mortimer above. However I can find no evidence to suppotrt this.
