James (Jim) O'CONNOR

Jim and Kathleen farmed at Gortdromagowna, Knockanure. Their farm was called "The Hill", so named, at least as far back as the 1870s, to reflect the topography and to distinguish the property from those of four other O'Connor families in the area at the time.
I am told the O'Connors of The Hill are connected to the O'Connor family of Gortdromasillihy in Moyvane, a Jackie O'Connor having divided his property in the late 19th century between two sons, Cornelius who received land in Gortdromasillihy and Jackie, who got the farm at the Hill in Gortdromagowna. However I have been unable to connect Jackie to Jim's family.
