Hanora Josephine (Sr. Íde) WOULFE

Hanora entered the convent, becoming Sr. Íde. She was a member of the St. Louis order and worked initially in Balla, Co. Mayo before being appointed assistant mistress of novices at the order's convent in Co. Monaghan in 1946. Wishing to be sent on a foreign missionary assignment, Sr. Íde trained as a nurse and was posted to Ghana. She later worked in Nigeria and San Francisco. She was later appointed Catholic chaplain at the City Hospital in Belfast. Sr Íde died five months short of her 100th birthday.
