Individual Details
John Maurice WOULFE
(Abt 1831 - 8 May 1876)
John was born in Cratloe and is presumably a descendant of Maurice Woulfe (1690-1792) who settled there around 1660. Unfortunately I have so far been unable to determine how John is connected to Maurice's family.
It appears I am a descendant of Maurice's (and therefore presumably related to John above) as I have been DNA-matched by Ancestry to several descendants of Maurice's. My great-great-grandmother was Mary Woulfe (born late 1810s, married to John Shanahan) who was very likely born in Athea. As with John, I have not managed to figure out how Mary might be connected to Maurice.
John died of typhoid fever aged about 45 (although the age on his death record is 36).
