Individual Details
Mary KILLILEA (caution: not verified)
(Abt 17 Aug 1794 - )
Mary was the wife of Dominic Morahan, who we believe was the father of my husband's (Joe Gordon's) great-grandfather John Morahan. However we are not 100% sure she was John's mother, hence the caution.
Mary's parents were James Killilea and Margaret Gooldin (may be synonymous with Goulding).
MacLysaght's 'The Surnames of Ireland' tells us the KIllilea surname "has always been associated with Co. Galway and adjacent areas". I have seen Killilea spelled in a variety of ways, e.g. Killelea, Killele, Killalay, even Killaboy.
