Individual Details
Ann (Hannah) MCDONAGH (caution: not verified)
(Abt 1776 - 1872)
I am not 100% sure Hannah above was Mary's sister, hence the caution. However, my husband was DNA-matched by Ancestry with a descendant of Hannah's, the type of match indicating that Hannah and Mary were closely related.
Hannah emigrated to the United States around 1846, at the age of about 70, following the death of her husband, Patrick. She appears to have settled in Illinois where four of her 10 children were living, with two others living in New York and Wisconsin. It is not known if any of her other children remained in Ireland. Hannah died at the age of about 96.
