Jeremiah CONNORS (caution: relationship to brother Patrick not verified)

(1793 - 1870)

Jeremiah farmed in Seconglass (which I have also seen spelled as Seconglas, Seeconglas and Seconlish). He was known as 'Viladore', which apparently means fiddle player.

I have been DNA-matched with descendants of Jeremiah's but I have been unable to determine the exact connection, although it is likely it is through the O'Connor family. Jeremiah appears to have been a close relative of my great-great-grandfather Patrick Connors who was born in west Co. Limerick and settled in Kilbaha, Newtownsandes (Moyvane), Co. Kerry around the 1850s. For now I have positioned Jeremiah as a brother of Patrick's but this may not be correct.

It is likely too that Jeremiah was related to another Connors family from Mountcollins with whom I have also been DNA-matched. Maurice Connors (born c.1825) farmed in Caherlevoy, Mountcollins and raised a family there. Could Jeremiah have been an uncle of Maurice's?
