Mary (Molly) CUNNINGHAM

(10 Mar 1893 - 22 Jul 1976)

Molly's baptismal sponsors were William O'Connor and Mary O'Connor.

After they married, Jim and Molly lived on the Dore family farm in the townland of Moyvane South (Molly's mother was a Dore) in the parish of Moyvane. Jim was a skilled farmer. He used to kill his own and his neighbours' pigs. He also had great expertise with cattle, and was a hard worker, managing to increase the capacity of the farm from 18 to 40 milch cows, with the assistance in later years of his son Dick and daughter Bridie.
