I have been DNA-matched by Ancestry with a great-grandson of Maurice's daughter Ellen and with a grandchild of Maurice's son Thomas. The exact type of relationship between Maurice's descendants and myself is unknown but it indicates a close connection between Maurice and my great-great-grandfather Patrick Connors. The likeliest scenario is that they were brothers or first cousins. Because Maurice appears to have been born in Mountcollins while Patrick may have been born in Dirreen, Athea, about 35km distant, I am making an assumption that they were not brothers (although this of course could be incorrect) and for the time being I am positioning Maurice as a first cousin of Patrick's and adding a caution.

Could Maurice have been a brother of Ann (born c.1825), William (c.1832) and Ellen (c.1842) Connors of Mountcollins who were childen of a Jeremiah Connors? I have also been DNA-matched with decendants of Jeremiah's.
