My husband, Joe Gordon, has been DNA-matched by Ancestry with a great-great-great-grandchild of Mary's but we do not know if the connection is directly with Mary herself (assuming she is indeed a sister of Ellen and Winifred below) or with someone further down the line. We know of Mary's existence from a number of family trees on the Ancestry website that show Mary Mahan/Meehan as a great-great-great-grandmother of Joe's DNA matches but we do not know for certain if Mary was in fact a sister of Joe's great-great-grandmother Ellen Meehan, hence the caution.
