A death record has been located for a farmer's widow named Mary Lane who died (of influenza) in Finuge on 7 February 1943 aged 77. Although her age does not fit with the approximate birth date of our Mary above, dates given on death records in Ireland at that time were not always accurate so it is possible our Mary died on 7 February 1943. The informant was a grandson named Michael Nash of Lyreacrompane, Co. Kerry.
