Johanna never married. It is probable that she lived with her brother, Thomas, and his family in Soloheadbeg because she is listed (as single) in both the 1901 and 1911 census returns for his household. In the 1901 return, her age is given as 50 (born c.1850), but in 1911, her age is given as 65 (born c. 1845). There is further confusion regarding Johanna's age because the Johanna Treacy buried in the Treacy family plot in Kilfeacle, which is likely to be our Johanna above, died in 1934 aged 73 (born c. 1861). Therefore, because Johann'a father died in March 1848, we will assume that she was actually born about 1848. Unfortunately no baptism record has been located for her.
