Allan and his wife, Florence. lived in Cessnock, New South Wales.

Allan, a flight sergeant with the Royal Australian Air Force. He was killed in a night bombing raid over Berlin in World War II aged 22. He has no known grave and is remembered on a panel at the Runnymede Memorial in Surrey, England. This memorial commemorates more than 20,000 airmen and women who were lost in World War II during operations from bases in the United Kingdom and North and Western Europe whose remains have never been found.
