Individual Details

John (Jack) Joseph HANRAHAN

(4 Sep 1881 - 2 Apr 1965)

Jack's baptismal sponsors were Patrick Kearney and Catherine Buckley.

Jack emigrated to the United States in 1900 and settled in El Paso, Texas.

According to his World War I Draft Registration Card, dated 12 September 1918, Jack was living in El Paso and working as an "outside manager" at the American Laundry Company. El Paso City Directories tell us that Jack and his wife, Margaret, were still in El Paso in 1927 and 1932 and owned or worked at Royal Cleaners & Dyers. By 1940, according to the census of that year, Jack was working as "hotel police".

Jack died in California in 1965 but we do not know if he had actually moved there.
