John was serving with an Engineer battalion in the U.S Army during World War II when he was recalled home following the deaths of his two brothers James and Paul. Losing two sons was enough sacrifice for one family and their mother, Lizzie, was honored as a Gold Star Mother.
John worked for the Remington Arms firearms and ammunition manufacturer based in Ilion, New York and retired as a Vice President of the company.
