The obituary of John Cunningham of Listowel (c.1791-1887) states that Bessie Troy, who was a daughter of Annie's, was John's niece, indicating that Annie was John's sister, which cannot be the case given Annie's surname. Perhaps Annie was a more distant relative of John's, or perhaps the connection, if any, was through Annie's husband, Thomas McKenna.
