Thanks go to George Langan (related to me through the Cunninghams) for the information below on the Kelly family. Although neither George nor I am blood-related to the Kellys, a member of the Kelly family, Johnny Kelly, married Ita O'Connor, a first cousin once removed of George's.
An Ambrose Kelly of Ballygoughlin, Glin died on 3 January 1930 aged 98. This may have been Ambrose above. His death occured just a week after the death of a daughter of his, a Mrs. McAuliffe of Tarbert, Co. Kerry. Ambrose's obituary in The Limerick Leader states that he was the grandfather of Paddy Kelly of Glin, a prominent member of the IRA who had emigrated to the United States several years previously having been released from prison following an amnesty.
