According to a notice in the Kerry Weekly Reporter of 28 June 1902, a Kittie Mason, "fourth daughter of the late John Mason of Dingle and granddaughter of the late Richard Huggard of Dingle", married a Fred Mather, youngest son of the late John Mather of Tulough [should this have read Freagh?], Carbury, Co. Kildare on 18 June 1902 at Christ Church, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. This may be Kate above. By the time of the 1911 census 42-year-old Kittie and 43-year-old Fred, a Kildare-born farmer, were living in Freagh, Carbury with three daughters, Ruby aged eight, six-year-old Nora, and Violet aged four. Visiting them were Kittie's sister Lizzie, aged 44. Kittie's and Lizzie's ages tie in nicely with the ages of Kate above and her sister Elizabeth. We know that Kate, who outlived Fred, died in Freagh on 15 February 1956; and Ruby and Nora, neither of whom married, died on 2 April 1967 and 1 November 1976 respectively.
