Individual Details

Richard J. WOULFE

(5 May 1843 - 25 May 1927)

Richard arrived in the United States from Ireland as a young child and went on to become a prosperous farmer and horse breeder in Illinois. According to his obituary in the Kerry News edition of 5 December 1927, he and his wife, Kate, "were both second and third cousins". I have figured out that Richard and Kate were second cousins once removed through Richard's father and Kate's mother (whose maiden name was Woulfe), but I have so far been unable to come up with a second connection.
