Mary emigrated to the United States in 1929. Two years later she entered the convent, joining the Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart. Her name in religion was Sr. Margaret. As a missionary sister she served in Baltimore; Irvington, Maryland; San Antonio, Texas; Pueblo and Cortez, Colorado; and Claypool and Mammoth, Arizona before spending the last 17 years of her life in community service at the Mission Helper Center, Towson, Maryland.
